How to Wash Dirty Camp Cookware Without Running Water
Step One: Scrape excess food with a rubber spatula and dump the debris into the campfire.Try not to dump food on the ground, as it will attract bugs.
Step Two: Use your water bottle to pour about 1/4 cup of water into the pan. Step Three: Scrub your pan with Salt. The grit will help remove stubborn films. Step Four: Wipe out the excess food with a paper towel and toss the used paper towel into the fire. Step Five: Carry a spray bottle filled with vinegar to "Rinse" your cookware and kill any residual germs. Step Six: Spray your scrubbing sponge with vinegar to kill off residual germs before using it again. NOTE: Most of my camping pans are stainless steel, and vinegar removes debris quite well. It also removes rust and makes my old cast iron pots look new. If you take the time to season your cast iron pans, vinegar will remove that non stick coating you worked so hard to create, and you'll have to re-season them. |

Double Sink
I'm torn between this model and the model pictured above. In the first scenario, there's plenty of room to prep foods. In the scenario pictured below, there's more room to soak and rinse dishes.
